Who can vote?
To be eligible to vote, you must be a current Member of the OpenSolaris community, as defined in the Constitution, and be present on the current voting list as prepared by the Secretary no more than 10 days before the the start of the voting period for the elections.
If you are not a Member, you may either need to apply for membership, or renew an expired membership and be present on the voting list no less than 3 days prior to the start of the voting period for the elections.
Being a candidate
Candidates for election to the OpenSolaris Governing Board must be nominated by a current Member, or themselves providing they are a Member, and be registered as an OpenSolaris participant. All candidates should send an e-mail to opensolaris-announce@opensolaris.org with your name, e-mail address, corporate affiliation (if any), along with a description of why you'd like to serve.
If you are not a current Member and would like to stand for the election, you may still be nominated by an existing Member. The OpenSolaris Governing Board shall consist of 7 people elected by the Members of the community. The Board will be elected by single transferable vote, and you will be asked to submit an ordered list of candidates by preference.
How to vote?
The vote will be conducted using opensolaris.org's voting system. You must have an SSH public key registered on opensolaris.org to connect to the voting system...
