OpenSolaris User Group

There are dozens of OpenSolaris user groups all over the globe. Groups can have a handful of fellow users who meet for dinner or hundreds of users that have monthly gatherings with presentations and panels. OpenSolaris User Groups are typically named Location OpenSolaris Users Group, for example the Silicon Valley OpenSolaris Users Group is abreviated SVOSUG.
History
The very first OpenSolaris Users Group to form was the Silicon Valley OpenSolaris Users Group, started by Alan DuBoff. The first meeting was held on April 26th, 2005, which you'll note is prior to the end of the OpenSolaris Pilot, and featured Liane Praza presenting SMF.
